What are the requirements for boarding?
your dog must Be Current on vaccinations for both Rabies and Bordetella (kennel cough) with proof of veterinary records, & be free of contagious illnesses for the last 30 days. Dogs can interact with other dogs as demeanor allows, Integrating dogs into play groups are at our staff’s discretion. we understand spaying & neutering is a choice but We do not allow intact females or Males over the age of 8 months or who have had their first heat cycle to socialize with other dogs.
What are the requirements for daycare?
Enrollee must be up to date on rabies + Bordetella from veterinary clinic of choice. Your dog must pass a demeanor assessment - these must be scheduled in advance & are offered Monday-Thursday only. If the demeanor day goes well with no signs of behavioral issues your pet will be welcome to attend regularly. (excessive humping, jumping, Barking, Lack of Recall manners & any signs of aggression may be cause of demeanor day failure.) pets must be spayed before their first heat cycle (recommend by 8 months of age) or neutered by one year of age.
What are the benefits of attending daycare at Fetch & Stay?
Your dog will enjoy their time running, socializing, and playing completely off leash. Daycare is a great healthy outlet for your pet to not only burn pent up energy but also get much needed socialization with other dogs & exercise enrichment they need! Interacting with other humans & dogs in a new environment is very beneficial for dogs who may suffer from separation anxiety. All of our outdoor yards are Artificially turfed which reduces the chances of dirty dogs, external parasites, & grass allergies.
What if my dog does not enjoy group play?
They may not be a great fit for daycare but boarding is no problem. We have options for solo yard time. Your pet as well as other guests safety and peace of mind is our top priority and a perfect Solo let out can will be tailored to meet your pet’s needs! Dogs who exhibit aggressive tendencies toward humans or are highly anxious in a boarding environment can only board if our staff deems it safe to do so. For the dog’s safety and our staff’s.
What are the benefits of attending boarding at Fetch & Stay?
Your pet will stay in a climate controlled environment with enrichment options with other guests or solo yard time for our more independent pups! They will have their own kennel where they will eat their meals & sleep overnight.Your pet’s comfort is important and we strive to provide your pet with the best home away from home experience!
What is your boarding cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change. However, we do ask that if you need to change or cancel your boarding reservation, that it be made within a 24-hour period. For major weekends and holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Independence Day, New Year’s, OU/Texas, Bedlam) there will be a charge applied to your account.(see our cancellation & no show policies in our services tab)
How do I get my dog enrolled in daycare?
A demeanor Day will need to be scheduleD in advance + can be made under our book now tab. We will have you drop your pet off to do an initial evaluation for the day. this allows us to observe how he/she reacts to other dogs, our staff, and new surroundings. This evaluation is free of charge and you will get a follow-up report card from our staff upon pick up.
If an emergency were to arise, how is it addressed?
Safety is a top priority. If an emergency involving your pet were to happen we will contact you immediately, if you cannot be reached we will contact your emergency contact and/or treat at our discretion. Veterinary medical attention will be at the discretion of our staff members as instructed by our owner who is a registered veterinary technician.
What are the available hours for boarding drop-off & pick up?
See our contact us tab for More info about our hours! We’re open for boarding 7 days a week, weekend & holiday hours are limited. monday - friday boarding pick up/drop off can be any time during open hours, we are closed 12-2p these days for rest times/lunch time for all guests!
Should I bring anything from home for my pet?
Less if more. We recommend your pet’s normal diet/food to avoid any stomach issues. Your pet will be provided bedding (if not a chew risk) and Food/water bowls. If you would like to bring personals items From home these must be limited to 1-2 per dog and must be machine washable - extrememly large beds will not be used if brought. toys, rawhides, or chews are not allowed in their kennels overnight as these are a choking hazard.
For first time guests, the online profile will need to be completed. For your convenience we have it available in a virtual version under our “Book Now!” tab We will also need current vaccination records prior to drop off to ensure your pet has what is required to stay. your pet will not be able to stay or play without rabies or bordetella that are up to date.
How old does my pet have to be to attend boarding and/or daycare?
Your pet must have all age appropriate vaccinations - we recommend 14-16 weeks for daycare. All vaccines should be current by this age and we want to ensure that your pet has had adequate time to develop a stable immune system. That being said, understand even though all dogs in our facility are vaccinated the risk of kennel cough is still present and immunity varies from pet to pet depending on their exposure to other environments, their immune system, & their anxiety. THis can be discussed further with a staff member.
Are there cameras for owners to watch their dogs play?
No, we do not have cameras for pet parents to observe. For our safety & your pet’s we have surveillance cameras available to our staff to watch at all times. we also stay active on our social media platforms & post on our stories regularly. If you would like to know more about why we have chosen not to provide a live camera feed, please ask! If you are wanting to check in on a dog in our care - email or call us during open hours.
Where do the dogs play while they are participating in daycare/boarding?
we have 8 yards total all equipped for various conditions. Indoors, we have 2 smaller play spaces available to get out of the elements or simply take a break. Outdoors, we 3 all weather, artificial turf play yards at daycare & 3 at boarding.
Do you have overnight staff?
-NO, we do not have overnight staff. That being said, we have never had issues with not being staffed overnight - most dogs typically sleep through the night as they would at home.
Can we tour your facilities?
-Yes, However tours do not include visuals of active play yards as it is a risk to the dogs & has proven to be stressful for them causing them to acclimate to excessive barking or “stranger danger” possession of the yard. Our boarding facility, lobbies, & unused yards can be viewed. Boarding photos can be viewed in the “Tour” tab as well. Also, check out social media for the best behind the scenes views.
What if my dogs need to be separated to eat?
In order for us to be able to separate dogs for feedings we will need two kennel spaces as all dogs are fed in their individual spaces. Each kennel required to house or feed your dogs will be charged accordingly.
How early do I need to book my dog for a boarding reservation?
We typically recommend 4-6 weeks in advance - especially for any major holiday or weekend. We cannot guarantee space for any dates and it varies month to month.
